Hello Good Chums!
I bring you another entry of Tristan’s Thinking’s! This time not about creating a website but about creating works of fiction! Specifically Dave The Dishwasher and Mayonaise, which currently serves as the end of the current Dave Arc.
This website’s function is to both have a place for all my stories past, present and future. So I did just that by creating pages for old stories like DTD, but going though the stories I remembered that the most ambitious story I have ever written was left without an ending. Thinking about this the last couple of days, I didn’t think it was fair to anyone coming along for the first time to leave a story hanging that like and it wasn’t fair to myself to leave a piece of myself like that. As I have mentioned in the small rundown for DTD on another page, his story is a personal one, a exaggeration and heighted of my feelings at the time of writing.
I guess after a certain point in time my feelings were written but the ending wasn’t. So I decided tonight that I would finish it, close the door (but leave it unlocked). And now… I can say goodbye to that story and move to the next chapter, the next adventure for Dave. I’m obviously focused mainly on Blackbird at the moment but it was not too long along where my main focus was Dave, and who knows… another story entirely might take my focus in however long. But for now I feel good about closing that door.
